Tampa Bay Edition:

With a lot of girls trips and bachelorette parties, there is a huge focus on drinking. But, what do you do if your bride or people in your group aren’t big drinkers? Probably get new friends. (JUST KIDDING)

In all seriousness, there are a ton of things you can do that don’t include hitting the bars. Below we’re going to dive into 10 bachelorette activities you could plan that don’t involve drinking.

#1 Get Your Workout On (Yoga, Dance, Pound, Bootcamp style)

#sweatingforthewedding is a real thing. You could always schedule some kind of workout class. This doesn’t have to be running on the treadmill. Get creative with it! Yoga is a great relaxing group activity but if you’re looking outside the box, try out some kind of Dance class! We just did a pound class for the first time and loved it!

Recommendations for Tampa Bay:

Yoga: The Body Electric is probably the best yoga studio we’ve ever been to and you could drop into a class for about $15 per person. The inside of this studio is absolutely beautiful and the instructors are great. If you’re really trying to get in a #sweatingforthewedding session, try out one of their hot yoga classes!

If you love yoga and love animals, then check out Grady Goat Yoga. During the session friendly baby goats wander around and they are not shy! Be ready for one to jump on your back during tabletop pose. Baby goat cuddles and photos are highly encouraged. Reservations are required and these weekend events sell out quickly.

Dance/Pound: LVL UP Dance and Fitness

If you’re interested in a more active itinerary, try out a pound class! This is a high intensity interval class that incorporates some dance moves, pounding of drum sticks and a lot of of squatting.

#2 Eat All the Foods on a Local Food Tour

A food tour was a great way to explore and eat your way through a new city! Your tour guide can share fun city history, recommendations around town, and local secret spots! If you visit to a “foodie” destination such as Savannah, Charleston, Seattle or Nashville, I would definitely scheduling a tour towards the beginning our your trip. This is also a great way to get a lay of the land for when you head out on the town. And bonus, most food tours have discounts partnerships available along the route for continue savings during your stay!

Nook and Cranny usually has a rotating list of projects and you sign up for a date you like the particular project or book a private class for the group. The last time we went, you got to create a sign, sand it down and add hanging hardware and paint a ‘home sweet home’ with whatever state outline you wanted. All materials and equipment were provided and they provided you with stencils too for those of us who aren’t very artistic!

Arts and Crafts: Make Me Studios and Color Me Mine
